Tchaikovsky’s symphonies contain some of his most profoundly emotional music, with them charting his life’s ups and downs through their music. His fifth is one of the most extreme; on the surface an edge of your seat musical experience, but also a glimpse into his anguish and despair that verges on the hysterical at times.
